In Kent we have until the 15th April to apply for road closures for street parties to celebrate the Royal Wedding. I haven't applied, and as far as I know, no-one else around here has either. What a missed opportunity. Im no ardent royalist but an excuse to invite your neighbours into the street for a chat and a sausage roll seems too good to miss. But I won't apply for our road to be shut because that's a bit too scary. What I need is a face for a party, somewhere like The Walnut Tree, bet you didn't see that coming! But alas, it's still bricked up, I still don't run it, and it's not going to host a Royal Wedding street party. Maybe when Harry gets wed.
